DESCRIPTION:Thinking about summer time? Want to explore Lake Superior and experience a new camping location!? Well then join for our weekend extravaganza at the GORGEOUS Porphery Island from July 27th to the 29th! Not only will we be diving\, but we are looking at adding two mooring on the newly found wrecks from the summer of 2017. Join us for an action packed fun filled weekend of diving\, good food and great friends all while getting to assist in the progression of the Superior Chapters goals for 2018. \nOver the summer of 2017\, the members of Save Ontario Shipwrecks were hard at work on Porphery Island! Not only did we complete a survey of the underwater lake bed for artifacts and complete an EcoDive\, with the help of Parks Canada\, but we installed a mooring buoy for boats of all types for safe harboring while visiting the island. Divers had an opportunity to check out some of the wrecks in the area\, and ended the evening with delicious BBQ and campfire! Because this even was such great experience\, we have decided to hold the even again this summer! \nThe weekend trip allows you to discover various wrecks the back harbour and more! Sit around a campfire and swap stories while enjoying some delicious BBQ! Sleep accommodations will be available for a donation!**Get in on some of the action this year!
